Bit of an obit.

In my footnote to the preceding blog, I mentioned Lionel Davidson as the author of the excellent The Chelsea Murders, which was published about thirty years ago. Wanting to remind myself of his other titles, I wiki-ed him, only to discover that he died very recently, in October last year. I must have missed the New York Times obituary -- and there was one and he deserved it. More of a thriller writer than a mystery novelist, he's really worth checking out.
